Camera Work (Tripod)

Camera Work
(Tripod)

Static Shot: This is where the camera doesn’t move at all.

Pan: In a pan shot, the camera will move left or right. A slow pan normally builds anticipation, and a whip pan heightens the energy of a shot.

Tilt: The tilt directs the camera upward or downward. This is used to capture the verticality of a film’s world. It can be used to give a character dominance, or vulnerability.
