 I have really enjoyed this project. I loved making the characters and bringing them to life. I thought it was interesting making an educational video fun. People can learn something from it and enjoy it at the same time. I also liked researching that time period and understanding the evolution of the peppered moth. Now, I have made my first full animation using Maya I can go forward and make more and I'll know what I'm doing.

This animation is for children. It was made to inform kids about the evolution of the peppered moth. Kids will not want to sit there and listen to a 40 minute documentary about it. This animation is easy to watch. It has likable characters, realistic scenes a simple story and is over in 3 minutes. A child is much more likely to sit through my animation. The animations art style is also tailored towards kids. It is cartoon and brightly coloured.

  Miles is older than Morris and therefore knowns more about what is out there in the world. He doesn't want Morris to move away, he is worried he's going to get himself in trouble or worse, killed. However, Morris' thirst for adventure takes him over and he goes off anyway. When Miles finds Morris in his new home and sees how horrible it is, he is horrified. However, he is not shocked. 

  Morris is a likeable, adventurous, young moth who decides to move away to the forest closer to Manchester. He moves away simply because he wants a change of scenery, even though it meant leaving his friend, Miles behind. Morris is younger than Miles, he feels like he wants to see more of the world. He is worried he's missing out if he doesn't go and look around.
